Elk Audio ships with a purpose-built software stack. The dev kit shows you how it all fits together on desktop, no prior embedded experience required.
Elk's headless audio engine. Configure a chain of VST2, VST3, or LV2 plugins with a JSON file — no audio engine code required.
A Python library that maps hardware events — pots, switches, encoders — to plugin parameters. This is where your product logic lives.
Publishes events from the physical controllers on the board. On desktop, a GUI mimics the real hardware so you can develop without the device.
The dev kit is a complete desktop environment. Drive a mocked Elk Stomp, load real VSTs into Sushi, and iterate as fast as you can save a file.
Every control on the physical pedal — OLED, encoders, eight pots, switches, RGB and red LEDs, the four-position rotary — emits the same events as the real hardware. Develop and debug without plugging anything in.
Sushi is Elk's headless audio engine. Add plugins from a menu, patch them into a track, and map their parameters to the controllers on the mocked pedal — all without writing audio code. A growing library of open-source VSTs is one click away.
